I heart Lindsay (and Emma)

Yesterday I worked from home so I could take Lindsay to a cardiologist appointment. I was going to drop the girls off at school/daycare at the regular, early morning time so I could get some work done, but they were playing together so nicely, I let them hang out for a little while instead. For about 45 minutes, I was able to sit in the next room, listening to them pretend play "movie theater." It. Was. Awesome. They were so sweet to each other and used their imaginations so creatively. It was great to start the day with a slower pace and I was truly, truly proud.

So Lindsay's cardiologist appointment didn't go exactly as planned—it was inconclusive—but I am thankful for a couple of things. 1) Everything looks healthy and she appears to be in no immediate danger; and 2) she was, according to the echocardiogram technician, "the most well behave 2-year-old" they'd ever seen. She was incredibley patient and brave. Just prefect, really. Way to go, kiddo.

I finally went back to boot camp last night. I'm thankful for endorphins. Every time I go, I mean every-single-time, it clears my head and helps to erase whatever stressors were in my day (like 3-hour-long cardiologist visists!). I can barely walk today, but still, I'm thankful I went and thankful for the way it makes me feel.
